If you’re unsure how Jeffree Star’s Androgyny will look on your skin tone, this post might help you. Bottom line: don’t hesitate to buy this shade because it’s worth it.
Here’s How Jeffree Star’s Androgyny Looks Like On Different Skintones
Have you seen a guy with vibrant pink hair and eyebrows? If so, that’s none other than the one-and-only Jeffree Star.
In 2015, when Jeffree Star first released his limited edition shade of velour liquid lipstick, Androgyny, it instantly sold out. If you weren’t able to get your hands on it, we have good news because Star has made it part of his permanent collection.
Androgyny is a plum-mauve shade with a matte finish. After one swipe of this velour lipstick, you’ll be hooked. It’s still currently sold out but Jeffree has tweeted that it will be restocked soon, along with new shades of his collection.
Some think the shade is too dark for their skin tone while others says it’s the perfect dusty-mauve for them. See how Androgyny looks on different skin tones because this will definitely be the lippie of the season.
Of course, Jeffree himself has a pale skin tone and Androgyny looks perfect on him! Then again, it is his own makeup line.
The shade changes only slightly, but it’s still gorgeous.
It might appear slightly pinkish but still looks good.
If you want to have a clean line, you can use a lip liner first and top it off with the product afterwards. Would you look at that finish?
It may appear dark, but that also depends on the lighting.
Yep, it still looks good on brown skin tones. This artist really knows how to pull this look off.

Clearly, the darker the complexion, the more it appears like a dusty pink rose.
And of course, I had to try it out. Since I have brown skin, the shade appears pinkish on me.
