We all want to learn how to get rid of stretchmarks, right? Because everyone gets stretch marks and everyone can agree that they suck. Thankfully, stretch marks aren’t permanent! With these remedies (you already have), your skin will be stretch mark-free and ready for Summer!
Skincare | Get Rid of Stretch Marks Naturally
If you have stretch marks, don’t worry – almost everyone gets them, even models! These stretch mark removers are all-natural products you already have in your pantry! Try these out today and get ready to show off your flawless skin all Summer long!
1. Aloe Extract
Aloe vera is a known skin healer. For stretch marks, aloe vera promises to soothe and moisturize dry skin, thus speeding up the healing process and reducing the appearance of stretch marks. Aloe is a very mild ingredient that can be used everyday.
2. Shea Butter
For pregnant moms worried about stretch marks on their tummies, shea butter is your savior! Shea butter both hydrates your skin and treats stretch marks. To use, apply the butter to the desired area twice a day. Cocoa butter is said to yield the same results, so definitely give both of them a try!
3. Sugar Scrub
Get those bags of sugar in your pantry and put them on your skin! Sugar is a great exfoliator and improves blood circulation in your skin tissue. To use, mix sugar, lemon juice and your oil of choice together to make a scrub perfect for getting rid of stretch marks!
4. Alfalfa Leaves
Alfalfa leaves contain amino acids, vitamins and protein that help tighten skin. To use Alfalfa leaves, mix it with an essential oil of your choice to make a paste. Apply the paste on your stretch marks daily.
5. Egg Whites
We’ve written about egg whites before as a natural anti-aging ingredient. Because egg whites are great for lightening, toning and tightening skin, they make an amazing stretch mark-remover! To use, apply on the problem area thrice a day.
6. Essential Oils
When it comes to all natural skin care, essential oils are always at the top of the list. Some essential oils are packed with Vitamin E, which is great for softening and restoring the suppleness of your skin. If using essential oils, be sure to dilute them beforehand with a carrier oil (our favorites are coconut and hemp).
7. Lemon Juice
Lemon juice works wonders when it comes to lightening dark spots and that includes stretch marks. To use (and use religiously), apply lemon juice on the affected area. Do make sure to test a patch of skin first before applying lemon juice over a large area as some people’s skin is incredibly sensitive to the fruit’s citric acid.
No, you don’t need to apply or rub water on your stretch marks, but you will need to drink it! When it comes to skin care, water will always be your greatest, most effective tool. Water hydrates the skin and promotes rapid healing. So, like your mom always said, make sure to get those 8 glasses of water a day in!
