Your skin in sensitive and have to be treated gently, and the way you wash your face could worsen your breakouts.

Step 1. The proper way to cleanse the face to get rid of acne

1. First, use a makeup cleansing cloth to remove your makeup, then wash your hands with soap and water.   Do not dry them;use the moisture from your hands to wet your face a little. Add a dime size amount of facial cleanser to your hands then gently rub/massage the cleanser into your face for about 10 seconds. This may seem a strange, but when you have a serious breakout it is better to use your hands to wash your face rather than a cleaning tool like Clarisonic or any other cleansing brush. Use your hands to lightly splash your face with water then gently pat dry with a clean rag.

Step 2. How to apply product to get rid of acne.

Wash your hands again just to be safe. This time dry them on a clean towel. It's now time to add your acne treatment. There are many options on the market in the forms of gels, serums ,creams  and spot treatments. Severe acne flareup might require a prescribed treatment from your doctor. Simply follow the directions on the product of your choice.

Step 3. The proper way to apply moisturizer to get rid of acne.

Wash your hands and dry them on a clean towel. Apply your moisturizer the same way that you applied everything else. The only difference is that instead of rubbing in your moisturizer just massage it in lightly with your fingertips-you dont want to aggravate your already sensitive skin.

Step 4. How to get rid of acne

Throughout the day ensure that your hands have as little contact with your face as possible. If by any chance you need to touch your face wash your hands first. If you are going to wear makeup make sure you are using clean brushes. I would advise using your fingers to put on your makeup as well until your face clears just to be safe. Try not to have your face exposed to the outside air for too long, do your laundry regularly, and wash your face before you go to bed.
