Get Fabulous Beach Waves with Short Hair This Summer
The summer season is not just for long locks and mermaid’s hair, but you can also flaunt your short tresses during this hot season. Don’t let the length of your hair ruin your summer experience.
This style is often associated with women who have long hair but now, even women with short hairdos can rock beach waves hair. Here are easy step-by-step instructions to get the perfect beach waves!
What You’ll Need to Get Beach Waves

Step 1. Section and Curl

Start by sectioning your hair. There’s no right or wrong way, so part your hair the way you’re comfortable with. Also, it doesn’t have to be perfect — we love messy beach waves.
Leave the front section of your hair (on both sides) for curling later. Then, take one section of your hair at least halfway through the entire hair length.
Make sure you section it vertically as this makes the best waves. Take your curling iron and clamp the section of your hair.
Start curling your hair towards your face. Remember to curl all the way to the roots or as close to it as you can.
Stop curling around an inch from the end of your hair. Slowly loosen and tighten the clamp while moving it down your hair and then let go.
Run your fingers through your curls to separate the curly hair. Repeat the same steps for the other sections until you curl your hair completely.
Step 2. Curl the Front Sections

Now it’s time to curl the front sections you left untouched. The same curling process applies. Only this time, you will curl your hair away from your face.

Step 3. Spray and Scrunch

Now you’ve curled your hair, you can give it a bit more of a tousled wave look. Do this by scrunching your hair or tossing it around.
This will give you the messy look in beach waves hairstyles. You can also refine your wavy hair.
Take a curling wand and redo hair strands not curled enough or take small strands and curl them.
Once your beach waves are good to go, apply beach waves spray on it to keep them in place. After spraying, scrunch or tousle your hair to give it more texture and definition.
