DIY Body Slimming Wraps for A Sexier and Healthier You
Do body slimming wraps help lose weight? Here’s the thing ladies…body slimming wrap can work but only for a short period of time. You must absolutely use the right ingredients and use the right amount. Those are the two reasons why I prefer DIY body slimming wraps. And of course, I like the health benefits it gives me like detox the body, reduce cellulite, tighten skin, hydrate skin, and lose a couple of inches on my waistline and thighs.
DISCLAIMER: Do note that body slimming wraps do not work for everyone and what works for me may not work for you so keep that in mind. With that said, let’s start!
What You’ll Need:
- Coconut Oil
- Cling Wrap
Step 1: Apply coconut oil.

Rub coconut oil on the targeted areas. Make sure to completely apply the coconut oil on the entire area–front, back, and sides.
Step 2: Wrap it up!
Wrap parts of your body with your cling wrap, this can be tricky so you can ask someone for help. Don’t wrap too tight or too loose, you will feel if it is. Go around the area several times until you feel that it will hold in place. Yes, you’d want the skin to be compressed, but not to the point that it feels uncomfortable or it’s cutting off blood circulation.
You can leave the DIY body slimming wrap for an hour, a few hours, or even overnight. That really depends on you. But be reminded, the effectiveness of these DIY body slimming wraps will differ from one person to another. But if it does work for you, you’ll enjoy firmer and toner skin.
Getting hitched soon or know someone who will? This look is wedding day perfection!

DIY Body Slimming Wraps | Easy Recipes to Try
In addition to coconut oil, there are other awesome recipes you can make as DIY body slimming wraps. Here are some of the most trusted recipes to help you lose a bit of weight and reduce cellulite.
1. Clay Body Wrap Slimming Gel
|
Bentonite clay is a good ingredient for DIY body slimming wraps because of its ability to attract dirt and impurities that clog and stretch your skin. This recipe doesn’t just help you slim down, it detoxifies the skin as well. So how do you make it?
Mix 1/2 cup of natural Bentonite clay, 2 tbsp. of sea salt, 1/4 cup Aloe vera gel, and 1/4 castor oil into a mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly with a wooden spoon until you achieve a pasty mixture. You can add water if the mixture is too thick. Next, apply the mixture on the area you want to detox and slim down and then cover it with a large sheet of towel for an hour. Rinse off with warm water and apply moisturizer. You can opt to leave the wrapping with this one, but I’d prefer to still use a plastic cling wrap just to avoid a mess.
Note: Please do not use castor oil if you’re pregnant or menstruating, you can simply replace it with coconut oil or olive oil.
2. Seaweed Cellulite Body Wrap
When it comes to cellulite, the best weapon to use is seaweed or natural kelp! It’s packed with every vitamin and mineral required to fight off cellulite, leaving skin dimple-free.
To make this anti-cellulite body wrap, mix 1 cup seaweed powder (all-natural), 3 tbsp. of Olive or Almond oil, and 2 cups water. You can also add anti-cellulite oils like rosemary, fennel or juniper. Once you’ve mixed everything and it looks like mud, you can add the essential oils. Apply a thin layer of the mixture on your body and then wrap with plastic wrap.
If you’re allergic to seaweed, please do not dare to dry this recipe. We have other recipes here be better for you.
3. Coffee Body Wrap and Scrub

How to make this body slimming wrap? Mix 2 tbsp. of coconut oil, 1 tbsp. of ground coffee, 1 tbsp. of Epsom salt, and 2 tsp. of Cinnamon powder. Apply the mixture on the body and massage in circular motion. Wrap the body part with a saran wrap and then cover yourself with a warm towel. Let it sit for 30 to 60 mins before rinsing the mixture off with warm water.
Bonus: Peppermint Seaweed Cellulite Scrub
Speaking of cellulite and getting rid of those nasty looking things, we will always run to seaweed for help.
