DISCLAIMER: Do take note that I cannot guarantee the same effect on everyone. Growing hair varies on a case-by-case basis and you might need specific hair growth supplements. So please, always proceed with caution.
1. Rosemary and Coconut Oil Hair Mask
Rosemary is known for its ability to stimulate hair follicles to produce new hair. It does so by promoting good blood flow to your scalp and stimulating the growth of your hair strands.
Meanwhile, coconut oil is known for its hair conditioning properties. It can prevent hair breakage by combating issues such as dandruff and lice.
What you’ll need:
- 2 tsp. rosemary leaves
- 3/4 cup of coconut oil
- 1 tsp. vitamin E oil
Instructions:
- Just mix two teaspoons of rosemary leaves and ¾ cup of coconut oil and heat them in a saucepan for around 25 minutes in low heat. Stir frequently to avoid burning the coconut oil.
- Strain the mixture and put it in a small container. Add one teaspoon of vitamin E oil if you have some.
- Apply on wet hair with a comb and cover hair with a shower cap. You can leave it for an hour to overnight depending on your preference.
- Once you’re ready to wash, rinse and massage your hair with warm water. Afterward, keep any leftover hair mask in the fridge. The shelf life for this is around 10 days.
2. Egg and Olive Oil Hair Mask
Egg and olive oil are both high in fat, which makes them good hair moisturizers. In addition, the protein in egg yolk helps make the hair stronger and healthier.
This is a hair mask that I tried a while back and I must admit, it made my hair softer and more moisturized. I can still feel the effect 3 days after applying the hair mask.
I told my sister to try it out and unfortunately, it didn’t have the same effect, so she tried other hair masks instead. But yes, what may work for me may not work for you, but it is worth a try.
What you’ll need:
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp. olive oil
Instructions:
- Start by separating the egg yolk from the egg white. Usually, one egg yolk will do, but if you have longer hair, you might need two yolks.
- Once the yolk is separated, mix one teaspoon of olive oil (per egg yolk). Blend well and then apply on hair.
- Gently massage the hair mask on your hair. Once you’ve covered everything, cover your hair with a shower cap to lock in the vitamins and minerals. You can leave it on for at least an hour.
- Rinse with lukewarm water as hot water can easily cook the egg, we don’t want that to happen!
3. Aloe Vera and Essential Oils Hair Mask
Aloe vera is one of our hair’s best friends. It offers so benefits such as:
- Promoting Hair Growth: Similar to rosemary, aloe vera is a powerful stimulant that promotes good blood circulation. You’ll be able to grow your hair at a much faster rate if it’s getting the necessary vitamins and minerals that blood carries.
- Hair Conditioning: Aloe vera is a powerful moisturizer. It can moisturize any external part of the body, and the scalp, hair strands, and skin are no exceptions. Note that you’ll only be able to grow fast if your scalp and strands are healthy.

We always have honey at home so this was an easy hair mask for me to make. I loved the effect on my hair because it was softer and more manageable.
However, I’ve read that there are people who are allergic to honey, so if you’re one of those, please don’t try this anymore even if it’s just on your hair.
