Eye Makeup Looks to Try This Fourth of July

Eye Makeup Looks to Try This Fourth of July

Fireworks aren’t the only thing worth watching this Fourth of July. For instance, a bold eye look can add impact to whatever you’re wearing. These Fourth of July eye makeup ideas are easy to apply and won’t require a full kit. This guide walks you through makeup instructions to help you nail the look.

Red, White, and Blue Eye Makeup for July Fourth

Below, you’ll find five creative Fourth of July eye makeup ideas that deliver red-white-and-wow energy.

1. Stripes on the Eyes

The lid is covered in solid blue shadow from the lash line to the crease. Above that, red and white stripes run in clean, horizontal bars that follow the shape of the brow bone.

How to create it:

  1. Place tape at an upward angle from the outer corners of your eyes.
  2. Use a flat brush to paint alternating red and white stripes above the crease.
  3. Use a dome brush to pack rich blue eyeshadow directly onto your lids.
  4. Smudge the same blue under your lower lash line to frame the look.
  5. Once you remove the tape and reveal the clean edges, complete the look with a bold red lip.

2. Star Spangled Shadow

Each eye has two or three white stars placed at the outer edge, close to where the upper lashes end. The white stars stand out against the saturated blue.

How to create it:

  1. Apply star stickers to the outer corners of each eye, near the end of your upper lashes.
  2. Sweep bright blue shadow across your lids, starting at the inner corners near the tear ducts and blending outward to fully cover the stickers.
  3. Carefully peel the stickers off to reveal clean, star-shaped cutouts.
  4. Add white shimmer to the inner corners of your eyes to brighten and open up the area near the nose.
  5. Apply white eyeliner or silver glitter along the lower lash line to finish the look.

3. Red, White & Blue Fade

Red shadow sits at the inner corner of the lid near the tear duct. White shimmer blends through the center, and deep blue fills the outer third to create a smooth color shift across the eye.

How to create it:

  1. Start with red shadow at the inner corners, applying near the tear ducts and along the first third of your eyelid.
  2. Blend white shimmer across the center of the lid using a soft brush.
  3. Apply deep blue shadow to the outer third of the lid, blending it outward toward the edge of your eye.
  4. Use a clean brush to blur the transitions between each color.
  5. Finish the look with black or navy eyeliner along the upper lash line.

4. Dotted-Up Lower Lash Line

Small red, white, and blue dots sit just below the lower lashes, spaced evenly from the tear duct to the outer corner. The upper lid stays bare, so the dots look like they’re floating under the eye.

How to create it:

  1. Apply a neutral base shade to your lids to create a clean canvas.
  2. Using a detail brush, place red, white, and blue dots just beneath the lower lash line.
  3. Start near the tear duct and continue spacing the dots evenly to the outer corner.
  4. Add a touch of white shimmer at the inner corners to brighten the eyes.
  5. Finish with mascara on your upper lashes to frame the top of the look.

5. Raise the Brows with Red

The Raise the Brows with Red look combines smoky blue lids with red-colored brows for a bold high-contrast effect.

How to create it:

  1. Cover your upper lids with matte blue shadow, extending the color upward toward the brow bone.
  2. Trace your lower lash line with black shadow or liner and smudge the edge for a soft finish.
  3. Fill your brows with red pigment from the inner edge above the tear duct to the outer brow tail.
  4. Make sure the red reaches the full length of the brow, so the color stands out across the face.
  5. Keep your face makeup light with minimal blush or highlighter to let the brows and eyes stay in focus.
