Make Up For Ever products are some of the best in the industry and their eyeshadow formula is a staple in a lot of makeup artist’s professional kit. In recent years, they have come up with more consumer-friendly Artist Shadow Palette collections and I couldn’t be happier.
One of the reasons why I get so excited about the Make Up For Ever Artist Shadow Palette is because of how much of a steal they are–1 pan of the Make Up For Ever shadow is $21 for 2 grams of product. I really do not mind because that’s a good amount of product and the quality of their shadow is superb, however, if you are not a professional makeup artist, one color pan of the shadows might be a bit too big for personal use and that’s why the Make Up For Ever Artist Palette is such a collectible item because you get to have 9 color shadows you can mix and match for only $44.
Make Up For Ever Shadows (Vol. 4) Artist Palette For Fall | What’s Inside
The Makeup Forever Artist Palette is a collection of mini pans of the MUFE Artist Shadow formula. A gel-powder formula created with micro fine pigments to create a smooth and highly blendable eyeshadow. This year’s Artist Shadow palette for fall volume 4 is the first palette of the series to have an all-matte book with colors perfect for fall.
Let’s take a look at what’s inside:
The Palette
It contains 9 pans with .04 oz eyeshadow and an illustrated step by step instruction on creating different eye looks with the palette. The pans are arranged so that you can create a look with one column employing a transition shade, a light shade, and a crease color.
The Packaging
The packaging comes in a hard, sturdy cardboard. It feels sturdy to touch and it feels like it’s really well made, there is a heaviness to it that you don’t usually get with cardboard packaging on palettes. It has the really smart Make Up For Ever logo on the front cover and a mirror on the flip top.
This year’s Artist Shadow Palette Volume 4 includes universally gorgeous fall colors from Chalk (a white gel-powder shadow) to Wine (a plum colored shade). It also includes a Black shade and a dark purple-taupe color that sounds to me like a really good transition color especially for medium to dark skin tones. Take a look at the swatches per row of color; note, however, that the brown shade on the last swatch is done heavily.
I own Volume 1 to 3 of the Make Up For Ever artist shadows and I can’t wait to get my hands on this baby. It’s available at Sephora online.
