Micellar Water: Walk Thru + Best Products

What’s micellar water, you ask? It’s a magical potion – a dream product for lazy girls (like me). Ever felt that you’re too tired to remove all your makeup by the end of the day? Well, micellar water will be your best friend. It’s definitely a life (and time) saver.

Micellar water has been in the market for quite a long time now. It was first introduced in France, where it was designed to help the people to deal the harsh water supply. It’s formula is made of micelles which are tiny oil molecules suspended in soft water that helps absorb sebums and oils on the skin.

It’s different from the usual facial wipes and cleansers you’re using. Facial wipes may help, but it does not totally remove the dirt on skin. Same with cleansers that needs to be applied and washed. With micellar water, there’s no need to rinse. Yes – you read that right!  You only have to pour some on a cotton pad and wipe it on skin – then voila — you’ve got a squeaky-clean skin! It’s magical formula, makes removing makeup a breeze. It clings on the dirt and draws out impurities without the harsh feeling, leaving your skin glowy and hydrated. And if you’re a fan of double-cleansing, you can also use micellar water in the morning after washing your face.

A lot of brands created their own versions of micellar water. Not sure which one to use? We’ve rounded up some of the best on the market – once you try it, you’ll forget how to live without it.

 Bioderma Solution Micellaire

All micellar waters of Bioderma are great. Crealine’s (now Sensibio) formula made the buzz for the brand. It’s makeup removing and skin perfecting is legit – made the beauty bloggers freak out on how amazing is this product.
