A big celebrity name like Rihanna or Sarah Jessica-Parker will certainly get fans running to the store to pick up a bottle or two. However, that certainly won’t be enough to keep them coming back for more. Silage, scent, longevity, and price are just some of the things that persons tend to look for when buying perfumes and while some celebrity perfumes simply didn’t live up to the hype, there are some that actually got it right.
1.Fancy by Jessica Simpson
It’s hard to find a bad review about this yummy perfume by Jessica Simpson. If you love vanilla like I do then this is definitely for you, balanced by sandalwood and amber as other base notes. The top notes include red berries, apricot, and pear.

2. Reb’l Fleur by Rihanna
The pop star has released a few perfumes over the past few years, her latest being Riri which was released this year. However, my favorite from the lot is her very first fragrance, reb’l fleur which was launched in 2011. This one has delicious floral notes and fruits such as red berries, purple plums, and juicy, ripe peaches, but my favorite of all the vanilla and patchouli notes.

3. Girlfriend by Justin Bieber
While I’ve never personally tried this one, it has certainly gotten some rave reviews from perfume lovers around the world. Named after his hit song of the same name, the colors are bright and girly and the main notes are juicy berries and crisp mandarin. This is a great summer fragrance.

4. Wonderstruck by Taylor Swift
Another sweet fruit fragrance that works well during the summer. The main notes in Wonderstruck are dewberry, raspberry, apple blossom, and green tea; other notes are vanilla, peach, and sandalwood.

5. Fame by Lady Gaga
As dark and mysterious as the singer herself, it’s no surprise that her fragrance has garnered mixed reviews. But there doesn’t seem to be a middle ground on this one; you either love it, or hate it! This unisex celebrity fragrance was released in 2010 and contains floral, honey and balsamic notes.

6. Fantasy by Britney Spears
The ‘toxic’ singer has probably had the most success with her line of celebrity fragrances, which is about 18 so far. However, my all time favorite is Fantasy. The beautiful box and the diamond encrusted bottle had me hooked before the scent even hit my nose, but when it did, I was officially hooked and it has been one of my favorite scents ever since. Launched in 2005, this woody-oriental perfume has notes of lychee, quince, jasmine, kiwi, white chocolate and a super-sweet cupcake accord.

7. Pink Friday by Nicki Minaj
The female rapper had a lot of success with her first celebrity fragrance since its release in 2012. This one has tropical notes along with main accords of pink grapefruit, caramel, coconut, sandalwood, and passion fruit.

8. Glow By Jlo
Talk about a throwback, this is the first perfume by Jennifer Lopez, and it came out in 2002, yes that long ago! Glow broke numerous record sales during its release and is still a beloved fragrance by many people today. It has base notes of sandalwood, pink grapefruit, jasmine, and vanilla while the main and middle notes are tuberose, rose, orange blossom and orris root.

9. Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker
This is a soft intimate fragrance that opens with citrus, rosewood and a touch of lavender. The perfume further develops with notes of orchid, white musk, and apple martini. This is indeed a lovely celebrity fragrance that works for young and old.

10.Curious by Britney Spears
Britney has eloquently mastered the art of creating amazing fragrances, which is why she’s on the list again. Maybe I’ll do an article on all her scents next, so stay tuned for that. Anyway Curious has sold well over 500 million bottles thanks to the fresh juicy floral scent which is fun, youthful, and cheery. You need this one in your stash for sure!
