Best Liquid Lipsticks Celebrity Makeup Artists Love | Makeup Tutorials

November 1, 2024 By Karen Lang

The beauty of lipsticks cannot be denied so I thought it would be awesome to list down the best liquid lipsticks loved by both celebrities and their makeup artists.

What is it with liquid lipsticks that we are all drawn to it? Is it the richly pigmented color? Is it the vibrancy of the liquid that pulls us in? For whatever reason, liquid lipsticks have been around longer than than expected and it looks like it will stay for goo. So I came up with a list of the best liquid lipsticks out there for any of you who need help with narrowing down your liquid lipstick options.

I have to point out though that almost every day someone is churning out something new, a new formula, a new brand, so here in this list today, I give you some of the best liquid lips as used by makeup artists and their celebrity clients.

Best Liquid Lipsticks Celebrity Makeup Artists Swear By

When it comes to product reviews, I always give priority to the opinions of professional makeup artists. It’s especially wonderful when it’s from a celebrity makeup artist because you see their work on a celebritym, and you can kind of have a feel of what their work is. So I think this article will be as helpful to you as it was to me.

Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro

This gorgeous velvety texture of a lip lacquer leaves your pucker with a beautiful stain that lasts for hours. Jennifer Lawrence has worn the Red shade during one of the SAG awards according to InStyle magazine.

Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick

|

From Jessica Alba to Jessica Chastain, this lip color has graced some of the most beautiful faces in Hollywood and we can’t blame them. This beautiful formula delivers and a long-wearing highly pigmented lip color that is comfortable to touch and does not flake.

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip

Makeup Artist Edward Cruz has talked about this product with Allure saying that it is “an excellent formula” which doesn’t need reapplying, it is also a buildable formula that you can either wear opaque or sheered out. One of the really gorgeous yet affordable matte lipsticks out there.

Make Up For Ever Aqua Rouge

Make Up For Ever’s Aqua line have been tested for wear on water and have been created for performance athletes such as the French synchronized swim team, this formula can be worn matte or glossy and won’t move for a good 6 hours, it won’t transfer or bleed either. I would say definitely one of the best out there and maybe one you should wear for your black friday shopping!

Bite Beauty Cashmere Lip Cream

Bite Beauty’s Cashmere Lip Cream formula is a feather-light, highly-pigmented formula made up of natural ingredients that is raved about by Makeup Artist Tamara Delbridge on Brit for it’s long wearing formula. I should really try this one out.

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick

|

Stila Stay All Liquid Lipstick has now been a staple in many makeup artist’s kits because of its gorgeous long-wearing formula that almost does not need retouching. Patina is their best-seller, It’s a warm mauve shade that looks good on any skin tone.

Kylie Cosmetics Liquid Lip Color

Worn by many celebrities such as Gigi Hadid and of course the Kardashian brood, this light formula does not dry up the lips and delivers a highly pigmented lip color that dries matte. The kit that includes a lip liner is such a hit especially since it’s not easy to look for a matching lip liner for your lip color.

Dose of Colors

This indie brand has been creating a well-received liquid lip color for quite a while now. Long wearing and amazingly light to touch, this liquid lipstick is also vegan and cruelty-free.  I personally have this and it works wonders, I sometimes forget I have it on because the formula is just wonderfully light and non-drying.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lip

The ABH Liquid lip is one of the best liquid lipsticks out there. Its intense pigmentation and non-drying formula is a hit with many clients and it stays on all day without having to reapply.

Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain

|

I have this product in my kit because it lasts all day without losing color. You know sometimes you wear a bright red lipstick only to find out that after 4 hours it looks like a dull paint job on your lips? This doesn’t do that. It also feels luxurious and it lasts for hours!

Check out this video by Laura Lee of her Best liquid lipsticks including some of the worst in her opinion:

It’s always nice to have options to choose from when it comes to the best liquid lipsticks and I hope this list has helped you narrow down your choices of what to get if you don’t have any of these yet. I have to say it’s quite refreshing to know even celebrity makeup artists aren’t too keen about having designer brands all the time, it really is about performance and it doesn’t matter whether it’s a drugstore brand or an indie brand anymore.

Let me know what you think is the best liquid lipsticks out of the ones in this list, and put it in the comments section below. Also if you’d like to know how to get the perfect lip application of these liquid lipsticks, I know just how to fix that.
